More and more services are requiring apps exclusively available on mobile as this allows them to connect with your number, ID and more metadata that desktop programs would not allow. This goes for banking apps, but really any corporate application that wants a nice and juicy piece of exploitable closed source code on the most sensitive digital device you own.
